Neighborhood Scheduling · Minnesota

Planning a New Driveway? Your Neighbors May Be Ready Too

When several driveways on the same street are due at the same time, coordinating the work can reduce the disruption of having crews come through the neighborhood more than once. Each property still gets its own assessment and its own proposal.

One mobilisation window

Crews and equipment are already in the area, which simplifies logistics for everyone.

Individual scopes

Every property is assessed on its own condition — no shared assumptions.

Separate proposals

Each owner gets their own written scope, price, and decision. Nobody is tied to a neighbour's timeline.

Cleaner street planning

Access, staging, and parking are worked out together instead of one driveway at a time.

How the work is decided

01How coordinated scheduling works

A neighbour asks about coordinating, then we talk to the others who are interested. Each property is assessed individually, and each owner receives a separate written proposal for their own scope.

If the proposals are accepted, the work is sequenced over the same window. That reduces the number of times equipment moves into the street and shortens the overall disruption to the block.

02Every property is assessed separately

Two driveways side by side can need completely different work. Base condition, drainage, slope, age, and the transitions at each garage are all property-specific, and a scope written for one address does not transfer to the next.

That is also why the assessments are not combined into a single visit-and-quote: what we find at one property can change what is appropriate even for an identical-looking driveway next door.

03Separate written proposals

Each owner decides independently. There is no group commitment, no shared contract, and no obligation created by a neighbour saying yes. If one property proceeds and another waits a season, that is fine.

Scheduling efficiencies depend on confirmed scope and logistics — how many properties, how close together, what each one needs, and when the crews and materials are available. Because of that, any saving is confirmed in writing per property rather than promised up front.

04Access planning

When several driveways are done in one window, the street has to keep working: mail delivery, trash pickup, school buses, and emergency access all continue. Parking and staging are planned so residents are not blocked in.

Owners are told when their own driveway will be closed and roughly how long, so vehicles can be moved in advance instead of discovered blocking a fresh surface.

05Project timing

Timing depends on the same things it always does: site readiness, weather, temperatures, material availability, and crew capacity. Coordinating several properties narrows the window, so early planning helps.

A fall assessment can set up either a late-season installation or a spring start for the whole group. We will say plainly which is realistic rather than holding a date that conditions may not support.

How it works

  1. 01

    Submit Your Project

Send the address, the service and a few details. Photos help, but they are optional.

  2. 02

    Site Assessment

We look at the pavement, the base, drainage and transitions. This is what the estimate is built on.

  3. 03

    Written Estimate

You receive a written scope describing what is included, what is excluded, and the price.

  4. 04

    Scheduling

If you accept, the work is scheduled when site conditions, materials and crew availability allow.

Coordinated projects need a realistic window. Late fall is often better used for assessments and a spring plan than for squeezing several installs into a short weather window.
